Mission
Statement

God has called us to provide the Mulvane area with a loving, life-giving fellowship of believers who, as spiritual champions, are nurtured to Christ-like maturity and empowered for meaningful ministry, both within the Church and in our mission to the world in which we live, so that in the end, God is exalted and known by all.

Local Outreach

In October, we paid for tent and light rental for Tiffany Massey and her “Homeless Awareness Project” at Collegiate High School, which was a huge success.  We again bought candy for “Trunk or Treat” and paid the postage for the “Shoebox Program”.  We purchased Thanksgiving Dinner for five Mulvane families and adopted three local families for Christmas.  It was another difficult year for a number of Mulvane families; we helped several with rent payments, utility bills and groceries.

Our biggest expenditure of the year was the purchase of a new van in December. The Wednesday night meal & youth group has seen such tremendous growth, that a second van was needed to pick-up and deliver kids to the church and back home.  We got an unbelievable deal from Scott Pittman at Suzuki of Wichita.  Scott is a Christian (his card says President & Chief Evangelist!) who told us he loves to help Church groups whenever he can.

We also continue to support Care & Share and Union Rescue Mission.

Local Work Projects

We had fewer projects this year, but were still able to help some people in need.  We built two more wheel-chair ramps; one for an elderly woman, and one for a young man who is disabled.  We replaced one last window and repaired the threshold of the rear entry door to keep rain & snow from getting under the door at Care & Share.

We continue to work hard to be diligent stewards of the resources that our congregation has been blessed with and to ensure that everything we do is for the glory of God.
